All Ako climbing panels are designed to be installed into studs/joists and are engineer-certified to AUS/NZ standards for safe indoor climbing walls.

• Panels must be fixed directly into timber wall studs using batten screws — 4 screws per panel in total (2 at the top and 2 at the bottom), fixed into two separate studs.
  
• Studs must be at least 90 × 45 mm and structurally sound. Position the panels so that screws are placed near the edges for maximum stability.
  
• When stacking panels vertically, ensure each panel is fixed individually with 4 screws into studs as described.
  
• Install only into timber framing or solid substrates. Installation into plasterboard or unsupported hollow walls is unsafe and strictly not permitted.
  
• Professional installation is recommended unless you are a confident DIY installer.

Adult supervision is required at all times when children are climbing.
Inspect regularly — check panels, screws, and holds for wear, loosening, or damage before each use.
Respect load limits — do not exceed the stated maximum of 70 kg per panel.
Use only approved climbing holds and fixings compatible with 18–19 mm plywood and installed with M10 T-nuts.
Provide fall protection — ensure adequate safety surfacing (e.g., crash mats) beneath and around all climbing installations.
Maintain properly — retighten holds as needed and replace worn parts immediately.

  3.Damage caused during self-installation or incorrect installation

This product must be installed into a compliant timber framing system by a qualified professional or competent DIY installer.

Panels must be fixed to timber studs no smaller than 90 × 45 mm, using 4 batten screws per panel (2 at the top and 2 at the bottom) across 2 separate studs.

Installation into plasterboard, hollow cavities, or unsupported substrates is strictly prohibited and may result in serious injury or structural failure.

The stated Working Load Limit (WLL) of 70 kg applies only when panels are correctly installed into structurally sound timber framing.
